Each one of the COMMONS postdocs collaborate with at least two COMMONS PI’s, thus stimulating interactions and collaborations within the Center. The postdoc research projects are inspired from the COMMONS Challenges.

Two COMMONS-AMBER postdoc positions under recruitment
Two 3-year postdoctoral positions in the area of liquid-liquid phase separation of protein systems just opened at Lund University: these postdoctoral positions offer the opportunity to conduct collaborative projects with different groups in the COMMONS center of excellence with backgrounds in physical chemistry, biochemistry and soft matter physics.
Project 1: biocondensates in complex conditions The first position focuses on better experimental characterization of biocondensates in complex biological conditions, in particular probing small condensates and their dynamics. Project 2: broader theoretical understanding of protein LLPS
The second position aims for a broader theoretical understanding of protein liquid–liquid phase separation using soft matter concepts, comparing and combining knowledge from globular and intrinsically disordered proteins. Both positions will be anchored at the Division of Physical Chemistry at Lund University, and are part of the AMBER CoFUND project (see AMBER CoFUND website) and connected to the new theme "Soft Matter in Life" at LINXS (see LINXS Soft Matter in Life website).
